Attorney Ray Prather published an article in the November issue of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) magazine titled “Sign, Sign Away – Electronic Signatures and Documents in Illinois: A 2021 Update.” Ray explained what occurred throughout the past year in the state regarding changes to electronic documents and remote signings. He cited various parts of the new Electronic Wills and Remote Witnesses Act as he described what lawyers in Illinois should now be doing to protect their clients’ electronic signings.
