Gabriel V. Evelyn, paralegal at Prather Ebner Wilson, presented at InfoTrack’s Legal Up 2023 Virtual Conference, a national two-day event (April 27-28) about the latest developments in the legal field. Topics ranged from technology to mental health to trends in the law to personal branding to DEI initiatives and more. Gabriel’s presentation was titled Black by the Book: My Blackness, the Law, & the Legal Field.
“My Blackness labels me as an ‘Other’ in the eyes of the law, yet I work within the legal field,” Gabriel says. “How does one reconcile?” Conference registrants can access a recording of the session here.
