Attorney Emma Connor was selected from a group of talented applicants to join the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law (RPTE) Fellows Program for 2023-2025.

During the two-year fellowship, Emma will work on the RPTE’S Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. During her fellowship, she’ll focus on the role of ADR in trust and estates disputes, including provisions for arbitration and mediation; family agreements; tracking emerging trends; and creating and promoting CLEs and publications.

Emma was previously certified in intercultural mediation, and her fellowship’s focus on ADR directly aligns with both her experience and interests.
“I’ve seen people come out of mediation having mended a relationship or founded a resolution that makes both people happy,” she says. “I’m really excited about continuing to hone my skills and develop my understanding of ADR.”

Emma also will participate in the fellowship program’s DEI committee as part of the Law School Joint Task Force. This role will help her expand opportunities for other young aspiring attorneys.
“There aren’t a ton of people who look like me in this field, so outreach and being part of the task force will be exciting,” she says.

Prather Ebner Wilson congratulates Emma on this opportunity to gain new skills and knowledge, and to help support young and aspiring attorneys!
