Prather Ebner Wilson Associate Attorney Emma V. Connor has been named vice chair of the American Bar Association Real Property, Trust and Estate Section’s Alternative Dispute Resolution subcommittee.
Emma was appointed to this position at the start of the second year of her RPTE fellowship with the subcommittee. She was previously certified in intercultural mediation, and the fellowship allows her to expand her knowledge of ADR.
Over the past year on the alternative dispute resolution committee, Emma presented a skills training on Planning for Probate Contests and her first CLE, and attended a variety of legal industry events and conferences.
“For me, presenting has been the big skill I’ve worked on this year,” Emma says.
In February 2025, Emma put those skills to work at the first-ever ABA RPTE Virtual CLE Conference, where she spoke on the topic of “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Aftermath of Students for Fair Admissions, Inc.”
Emma joined Prather Ebner Wilson as an associate attorney in April 2023. Her passion for justice was shaped during her time working with nonprofit organizations focused on expanding youth literacy, immigrant and refugee resettlement, and gun safety legislation.
Emma is a member of the Young Professionals Board of Illinois Legal Aid Online, and volunteers with Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
