Landon Wilson

Landon Wilson, J.D.

Area(s) of focus/role:
Estate planning, trust and estate administration, pre-marital and post-marital agreements
Favorite part of practicing law:
I love being presented with new and interesting situations and helping my clients to work through and solve the puzzle in the way that best suits their needs. Being able to come up with unique solutions to a variety of circumstances on a daily basis keeps the job interesting and enjoyable.
What inspires you:
Seeing the results of my work inspires me to push further. Often with a job you don’t get to see how your work directly affects the lives of your client or customer, but in estate planning, I see the sense of security and relief on my clients’ faces as they sign their documents and know their family is protected.

ABOUT LANDON

Landon helps individuals, families, and owners of closely-held businesses navigate estate planning and tax issues.

Landon is particularly passionate about planning for families going through surrogacy or adoption. Many Prather Ebner Wilson clients are LGBTQ+ individuals or couples, and Landon’s personal experience with the surrogacy and adoption process help him offer a unique level of support. He deeply understands the importance of clear communication during all legal proceedings, and enjoys providing his clients with this same comfort and thoughtfulness.

Landon also has lengthy experience in estate planning for individuals and families with assets or beneficiaries in the United States and abroad. Before joining Prather Ebner LLP in 2012, Landon helped clients create and reorganize domestic and foreign entities, with an eye toward maximum tax efficiency at the federal, state, and local levels. Landon’s experience in working with tax issues in foreign countries makes him particularly well-suited for planning and administering international estates and trusts.

Landon uses his education and experience to better his community, and has volunteered with Ladder Up, assisting low-income taxpayers with the preparation of federal and state income tax filings, as well as helping form and maintain various 501(c)(3) organizations on a pro bono basis.
