Tom joined Prather Ebner as Of Counsel in July 2015. He began his legal career as an associate with Sidley Austin in Chicago, one of the nation’s largest law firms, where he concentrated in real estate matters. His private practice included representation of members of several high-profile Chicago families in connection with the restructuring of family-owned businesses.

Tom has served as a trustee of The Cornerstone Foundation, the endowment fund supporting the work of Lutheran Social Services of Illinois. He also served as a member of the Board of Governors of the Human Rights Campaign, the Professional Advisory Committee of the Chicago Community Trust, the Professional Advisory Committee of The Chicago Foundation for Women and the Advisory Committee of the Roger Baldwin Foundation of the A.C.L.U.
