Attorney Ray Prather wrote an article on the practical aspects of using the Electronic Wills and Remote Witnesses Act (EWRWA) in the September issue of “Trusts and Estates,” the monthly newsletter of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Section on Trusts and Estates. He described in detail the changes that lawyers must now consider to their forms, technology, and procedures. He noted that many lawyers may find signings under the EWRWA more convenient than traditional signings.
A partner at Prather Ebner LLP, Ray advises clients on a wide array of issues related to administering and resolving challenges to estate plans. He represents individual and professional trustees, beneficiaries of trusts and estates, and tax-exempt organizations.
